Hello and welcome to this week’s Sunday Style, my friends! I’ve been having the best time playing “dress up” over the past three weeks. I hope you’ve enjoyed joining me step outside of my comfort zone as I share a different side of my life and me.
When I decided to start mixing clothing into my home décor blog posts, I never imagined the impact it would have on my life and how a little extra effort magically transforms my day and how I feel about myself. All too often, I focus on making sure my home is accessorized beautifully and there are times I forget to do those same things to myself. With my 42nd birthday approaching in a few months, I’ve made a commitment to show myself the same grace, love, attention to detail, and caring kindness I show to my home and my family.

One Chic Chick Top – Mauve (size S) // Elizabeth Skinny Jean – Dark Wash (size 7) // hidden under it all (not pictured): a thrifted ivory Banana Republic tank // grey pants and tall brown boots: Nordstrom Rack // booties: thrifted // distressed gold earrings and gold hoops: thrifted // watch: JORD Wood Watches // leather bracelet: vendor at the Iowa State Fair // fuzzy vest: Target last year
This darling peasant style top makes my heart smile! I adore its charming versatility and comfortable style.
It’s a top that I know I’ll reach for over and over throughout the year. In fact, I’ve already worn it twice this week… once with cut off, distressed shorts + nude colored sandals to breakfast with a friend (it’s still in the 90s here in Central Texas) and then with distressed jeans + booties for dinner out with my family.
The elastic neckline has a crocheted lace detail that is extremely flattering from the front to the back. The bell shaped sleeves have a lovely, ivory lace detail along the edge. I paired it with an ivory tank underneath with lace straps. I like how the lace detail peaks out on my shoulders.
The lightweight and breezy fabric has a slight crinkle to it and flairs along the hemline. Perfect for us girls that don’t like anything too tight around the tummy.
The color I’m wearing is mauve. It’s also available in a pretty denim blue.
Dreaming of Fall
Here I paired it with a fuzzy vest, my favorite pair of tall, dark brown riding boots, and the jeans I introduced to you last week.
