My Fall Entryway

If I close my eyes I can imagine what the months ahead will bring with cooler temperatures and the crisp morning air. Evenings spent swinging on the tree swing wrapped in a flannel blanket with a pumpkin spice latte in hand. Sunday afternoons at the pumpkin patch, eating brisket, and getting lost in corn mazes. The warm hug of thick sweaters and toasty toes nestled in tall boots. Fall sweet fall.

Fall is my favorite season to decorate for. I adore bringing the outside in with fresh pumpkins from the pumpkin patch, crisp greenery, pinecones from my yard, and sticks my boys collect on our walks. I invite fall into my home by layering neutral textures to create a warm, simple, and cozy atmosphere.

With the temperatures still in the 90s here in Central Texas and the anticipation of the pumpkin patches opening up in a few weeks, I decorate my home in stages. The first stage includes inexpensive faux pumpkins and faux greenery. I’ll add the “live” layer in the upcoming weeks.

These darling wood pumpkins are from TJ Maxx this year. I love how neutral and classic they feel.

The entryway in my home is quite tiny. With some creativity, I’ve created an inviting entry that welcomes friends and family in and offers a glimpse into the look and feel of my home.

My eucalyptus wreath is one of my staple décor pieces. It travels from room to room in my home. This year I nestled burlap leaves from Hobby Lobby into it for a touch of fall.

This basket of burlap pumpkins is from Target’s fall collection last year. I’ve heard rumors that they’ve returned this year! The tiny pumpkin in the center is from the Dollar Tree. I topped them off with a few of the Hobby Lobby burlap leaves I also used on the eucalyptus wreath.

The color palette in my home is neutral tones of whites, woods, and greens. When I bring a new piece into my home it’s important to me that it can move from room to room with ease. If you’ve been following me for a while on Instagram, you’ll probably recognize several of the thrifted pieces in this picture.

When you walk into my home, you can walk straight into my family room, go up the stairs, or turn right into the dining room. This vintage desk sits next to my family room. It’s a command center for family papers, homework, mail, and even a stash of tools. The cubbies and ledge offer endless inspiration for creative décor options.

The burlap pumpkins are a recent find from Dollar Tree. $1 a piece, y’all!

I hope you enjoyed a little tour of my Fall entryway, friends. Up next, I’ll be sharing my Fall dining room and how I styled my dining room table by shopping my home!

Blessings to you and your home,
