Milk Glass Vases + Milk Bottle Holder Floral Arrangement

This window seat tucked in a corner of my kitchen is my favorite place to cozy up with a good book and a hot cup of black coffee. I nestle in here when I’m watching the kids play in the backyard or waiting for the oven to signal dinner is done. It’s a happy spot for me that became a little bit brighter with the addition of this sunshine filled floral arrangement. It was simple and inexpensive to create using supermarket bought flowers, thrifted milk glass vases, and an old bottle bottle holder.

Milk Glass Vases

Every time I go to a thrift store, flea market, yard sale, or estate sale I look for milk glass vases. I generally find them for $2 a piece or less. In fact, most of these were only .99 cents!

Milk Bottle Holder

I found this vintage milk bottle holder at an estate sale a few years back from $10. Yes, I did a happy dance over this one… more than once.

I’m not a matchy-matchy personal. I like things off centered. I rarely follow “design rules.” I follow my gut and go with what makes me smile. The varying heights and styles of the milk glass vases add interest and an unexpected surprise while keeping a nice blend.

Add Flowers

I visited my local grocery store and filled my basket with $4 bunches of flowers. A combination of daisies and baby’s breath in shades of yellow and white adds a happy pop to the bright white milk glass.

I started by tucking the the baby’s breath into each vase, followed by the yellow daisies at varying heights, and then the white daisies to fill in any open spaces. The outcome is casual and soft. There’s no need for fancy floral skills or perfection here… just focus on putting together something that makes you smile.

There you go, friends! A dose of sunshine to fill your day.

Thank you, April! Yes, the throw is a treasure I found at an estate sale awhile back. It’s one of my favorite finds.
